This week for fellow Friday we have Hannah Irving. Hannah says “The REACH program has introduced me to how much fun the research process can be and has allowed me to pursue my passions”. An interesting fact about Irving is that she will be presenting at the North Carolina Sociological Association Conference in early April.

You know what time it is. Mentor Monday!
This weeks mentor is Dr. Kelly.
As a Professor of Sociology, E. Brooke Kelly’s research addresses social inequalities. Her more recent work has focused on poverty and food insecurity with a co-edited book, Food and Poverty: Food Insecurity and Food Sovereignty among America’s Poor.
Dr.Kelly enjoys collaborating with others as a public sociologist, working with students and community partners on community-based research projects.

This weeks mentor is Dr. Schneider.
Dr. Schneider has academic interests in race relations, environmental sociology, community development, civic engagement, and homelessness. Schneider is currently working on a current book project and has recently taken interest in in environmental politics and in North Carolina’s new wind industry.
