Part 2 of the Last week of Indian Education Summer camp went a little bit like this: Third Graders went to Airborne Special Forces in Fayetteville, NC; Fourth Graders went Emerging Technologies in Red Springs, NC; Fifth Graders went to the NC Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh, NC ; Sixth & Seventh Graders went to the Battleship in Wilmington, NC and the Eighth Graders and VISION students went to Washington, DC.
Some student made slime, hand drums, and others were taught how to do Pinecone patchwork.

First week of Indian Education Summer Camp went a little something like this: some students made Dream Catchers, Canoes, Paper Weaving Crafts, and DNA models with marshmallows. Others had the opportunity to work with Strawberry DNA Extractions. They also went a field trip to Town Creek Indian Mound in Mount Gilead, NC.

Last night there were over 300 attendees for The Public Schools of Robeson County Indian Education Public Hearing/Showcase Night. Dr. Connie shared information about the Title VI grant with those in attendance. Students were recognized for their participation and achievements at the NC UNITY Art and Writing Contest, with many that took home ribbons at the state conference. Medallions were also given out to high school seniors who have been involved with their school's AISA/AISES organizations.

Thanks to everyone that made this night special for our students.
