Everyone
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! This bill would make NH the most oppressive state for home education!! Send an email to the House Education Committee or attend to OPPOSE this outrageous bill! if you can't attend in person, email your testimony to the entire House Education Committee at [email protected]

Do you have testimony or an email ready for HB 1610, the bill that mandates ALL students, including homeschoolers, participate in public school statewide testing?
HB 1610 text: https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/bill_status/pdf.aspx...
TIPS:
clearly state your name and town (so they know you live in NH)
clearly state you are a traditional, unfunded home ed family (RSA 193-A), the distinction is at the heart of this bill
say why you OPPOSE this bill -- maybe your child has test anxiety, maybe you fundamentally oppose teaching to a test, maybe you don't think high-stakes testing is useful to learning, maybe you think the state and local schools have no authority of students who don't receive taxpayer funding
ask them to vote against HB 1610, the term is "Inexpedient to Legislate" or "ITL"
keep your remarks to 3 minutes which is roughly one page of written comments, practice reading it a couple times so you're comfortable
if you can't attend in person, email your testimony to the entire House Education Committee at [email protected]
state that your testimony should be added to the public record
use the House online portal to sign in OPPOSED to HB 1610 if you're unable to attend, and send your testimony that way if you don't email it https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/.../remotet.../default.aspx
arrange childcare if you have littles
if you have older kids, consider having them prepare brief remarks, too
carpool with friends
tell your homeschool friends about this important bill
be ready as we'll have minimal advance notice for the public hearing date and time
More tips are on our video so you can be an effective advocate for home ed freedom. https://youtu.be/GaQMif0GR_o

In this video, we give a "tour" of the NH General Court website. We show how to find your legislators, track legislation, and understand the House and Senate...

great message to start the new year!

Why do 80–90% of those making a decision for Christ fall away from the faith? What is the biblical principle that Spurgeon, Wesley, Whitefield, etc., used to reach the lost? Why has the Church neglected it? Don’t let anything stop you from listening to this incredible teaching.
