Our 3rd grade students had an unforgettable day exploring the Miccosukee Indian Village! 🐊🌿
They learned about Miccosukee history and culture through the village museum and experienced both traditional and modern aspects of Miccosukee life. Students even had the chance to hold baby alligators and take an exciting airboat ride through the Everglades. It was an amazing hands-on learning experience that brought Florida’s history, culture, and wildlife to life!

Stop, drop and roll! 🔥
We are so grateful for our partnership with our parents and for moments like this when learning extends beyond the classroom. Thank you to one of our Green Room dads for an amazing fire safety presentation! The students absolutely loved it, especially seeing one of their very own teachers suited up in full gear!
These hands-on experiences help our children understand the importance of fire safety and what to do during emergencies, and they create memories that will stay with them forever.
A big thank you to all of our first responders. We are so grateful for your service and for sharing this experience with our students!❤️👨🚒👩🚒

Today’s cooking lesson took us all the way to Australia! 🇦🇺As part of our journey exploring the continents, our students discovered a sweet treat inspired by one of Australia’s most iconic animals, the kangaroo! 🦘
With big smiles and lots of excitement, the children put on their aprons and got busy creating their own yummy kangaroo-themed snacks. The classroom was filled with creativity, laughter, and proud little chefs showing off their delicious masterpieces.
Through hands-on experiences like this, we’re not only learning about geography, we’re exploring culture in the most meaningful and tasty way. These special activities remind us how powerful learning can be when home and school come together.
A big thank you to our wonderful parents and teachers for helping make moments like these possible. 💙✨

One of the most beautiful aspects of MAB is the Montessori philosophy that guides everything we do, especially the strength of our mixed-age classrooms.
Inspired by Dr. Maria Montessori, our environment is intentionally designed so children learn not only from their teachers, but from one another. In our mixed-age groups, younger students are carefully nurtured and supported by their older peers. They observe, learn, and grow with confidence under the guidance of students who model patience, leadership, and responsibility. As our students grow, they naturally step into those mentorship roles themselves. The cycle continues year after year, creating a classroom culture rooted in kindness, respect, and collaboration.
These lessons extend far beyond the classroom. At school-wide events like MAB Fest and other community celebrations, we see our students modeling the same compassion, confidence, and leadership they practice every day. They carry themselves with purpose and integrity because they are being prepared not just academically, but for life.
This is the true beauty of Montessori education at MAB, developing capable, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals who are ready for the world beyond our doors. 💛

This past weekend in Orlando, our Junior Thespians from Montessori Academy of Broward took the stage at the State Competition in Orlando and delivered truly outstanding performances. Each and every student earned ratings of Excellent or Superior, a testament to their commitment, preparation, and passion for the performing arts.
We are thrilled to share that two of our students achieved the highest scores in the Improvisation category and were presented with the distinguished Judges’ Choice Award, the top honor awarded at the competition. Additionally, one of our performers received the same prestigious recognition for her Monologue and was selected to showcase her piece during the Closing Ceremony. These distinctions represent the highest level of achievement for middle school performers in the state of Florida. Beyond the awards, our students represented Montessori Academy of Broward with poise, confidence, and exemplary conduct throughout the event.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our families and to our Middle School Principal, Miss Marianela, for your continued encouragement and support. Your partnership makes opportunities like this possible.
Please help us applaud these talented young artists. Their hard work and accomplishments make our school community incredibly proud. 🎭👏

Our 1st–3rd grade students had an unforgettable field trip on Friday to By Brothers Family Farm! 🌞🐐
They enjoyed hands-on fun through activities like pedal go-karts, obstacle courses, and the FunHouse, all while building coordination, confidence, and joyful independence.
The children also had the opportunity to visit the petting farm, where they interacted with goats, cows, a bull, a donkey, bunnies, and tortoises.
In true Montessori spirit, this trip encouraged curiosity, respect for living things, and learning through real-world experiences. We’re so grateful for a day filled with nature, movement, discovery, and joy! 🌿✨
