The children used the Think-Pair-Share routine to express their ideas about their families, sharing favorite activities, foods, where they are from, and how many members are in their families. They then used creativity and mathematical thinking to construct their homes with blocks and represent their family members, making meaningful connections to their identity, uniqueness, and sense of belonging. ❤️
Our precious older 3 and 4 year-olds, practiced ballet leaps while learning focus, building balance, coordination, confidence, and the courage to take risks! 🩰✨💕

Our children explored what makes each of them unique through mirrors and dramatic play, using their imagination and creative expression to share their thoughts and feelings. They also used the Beginning, Middle, and End thinking routine to understand responsibility by caring for classroom materials, cleaning up, using the restroom independently, and washing their hands. Our VPK Orientation was a wonderful opportunity to partner with families as we shared how, together, we can prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. We discussed the importance of developing academic readiness, character development and essential life skills. Families also enjoyed exploring the classroom and seeing how our learning environment encourages children to think, collaborate with others, and build independence every day. We look forward to an amazing year together!
