Every after-school program says “STEM” now. Here’s how to tell what’s happening in the room. 🔍

STEM offerings have grown from 69% to 92% over the past decade, and about two-thirds of parents say STEM matters when choosing an after-school program. So the real question isn’t just, “Do they teach coding?” It’s, “What happens in that room?”

Here are 3 questions worth asking:

1️⃣ How many kids per teacher?
Look for a ratio that makes room for individual guidance. Our Code Coaching ratio is 2 students to 1 coach, while Code Classes have 4–5 students to 1 teacher.

2️⃣ Do they build anything real?
