08/26/2026
Due to an event in a neighboring community, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, Eastwood Local Schools will not be running afternoon bus routes today.
PENTA students will be picked up and dropped off at the high school. They will follow the same procedures outlined below.
Please review the dismissal procedures below:
Middle School & High School – Grades 5-12
For students who do not drive, a parent/guardian or emergency contact listed in FinalForms will need to pick up the student. This includes PENTA students.
Parents/guardians and emergency contacts will be required to come into the building and present a valid ID before a student can be released.
High School students who drive will need a phone call from a parent/guardian giving permission for the student to drive home.
High School pickup: Please use the Luckey Road entrance for parking.
Middle School pickup: Please use the Sugar Ridge Road entrance for parking.
Elementary School – Grades 1-4
If your student normally uses the parent pickup line, please follow the same process you normally use if you will pick up at the normal dismissal time. If you are picking up your student earlier or later than the normal dismissal time, you will need to follow the procedure listed below.
If your student is normally a bus rider, a parent/guardian or emergency contact listed in FinalForms will need to pick up the student. A valid ID will be required.
Elementary School pickup for bus riders or if you are picking up earlier or later: Please use the bus entrance off Sugar Ridge Road for entry. Please park along the sidewalk and do not park in a designated parking spot. Parents/guardians and emergency contacts will be required to present a valid ID before a student can be released.
After-School Activities
All after-school activities are cancelled today. This includes all practices, events, and activities involving Eastwood students.
Students may be picked up at any time following this email.
We recognize that this could be a high-stress time, with many families arriving on campus at the same time. Please be patient with our staff and with one another as we work through dismissal.
Student safety is always our top priority. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation.
Thank you,
Brian Hughes
Superintendent
