These boys could've been at home playing video games, out fishing, or doing anything else in the world but they chose to spend their afternoon at the fair in the first aid tent while I played Incident Commander. So proud of you, Johnny and Ethan! You did a lot of sitting around but sometimes that's all it is. I know you would've been ready if something did arise. I know you'll do great the rest of the week! I'll be there in spirit as we have a teacher work day and Open House tomorrow, then enjoying the last of summer for the weekend. ☀️

As we wrap up yet another year, I want to say how proud I am of this crew. They finished their exams last week and we sent them out in style with a pizza party! Today is the last day of school snd while the weather could be better, I know the kids are ready to enjoy summertime. See you next year, cadets!

Crazy to think it's that time of year already! Our first year students are doing their final exam of creating an elementary presentation on a profession of choice in the realm of public safety. Our seniors are presenting this week as they are out of here on Thursday. Ella rocked it today with 5th grade and taught them all about EMTs. Good job, El!

Had a busy day today! We ventured south to Traverse City to check out the National Guard's Open House event, then stopped at TCFD Station #1 where they were nice enough to provide an impromptu tour of the firehouse. This class has never been to a full time department so it was cool that they could see what a day in those shoes could look like.

Shoutout to our friend from Char-Em Kelly Miller for joining us on this fun day!!
