Central College Kinesiology Department News & information on health, fitness, & the Exercise Science Dept. at Central College The department now operates under the umbrella of Kinesiology.

Exercise Science at Central College is based upon the definition of exercise science as the study of the application of science to the phenomenon of exercise. We treat exercise as being inclusive of all human movement, including random or infrequent movement, work, habitual activity, training done for fitness or health, dance, sports, and leisure activities of all sorts. Any movement that can be imagined can be studied or described, using one or more of the sub-disciplines or exercise science.
