We had a wonderful group join us today for a Composting Workshop at Pell City Gateway Community Garden! 🌱♻️

Participants learned from Horticulture Extension Agent Bronson Lubresky about the basics of composting and how compost can be used to support healthier gardens and soils.

Thank you to Mrs Renee Lilly at the PCGCG for inviting us, and to Bronson for sharing his knowledge and answering lots of great questions! 🌿

Our County Extension Director, Ashlee Thompson, recently had the opportunity to take part in the 57th Annual County Agents’ Kitchen during the ACCA Annual Convention!

Hosted by the Alabama Association of County Agricultural Agents, the County Agents’ Kitchen is a long-standing tradition that brings Extension and county leaders together while showcasing agricultural products and foods from across Alabama.

We were especially proud to see St. Clair County represented at the table, with yummy tomatoes and cantaloupe from Smith Tomato, LLC!! 🍅

It’s always a great opportunity to celebrate Alabama agriculture while strengthening the connections between Extension and county leaders from across the state!
