Mrs. Vanderpool, we are so excited to have you! Thank you for choosing us!

Calera Family, please help us welcome back Mrs. Devanny Vanderpool as a special education teacher! She is so excited to begin her first year of teaching. Although this is her first year in the classroom as a teacher, she has been a part of the Calera community since 2018 and has developed a strong appreciation for our schools and families.

She and her husband have four children who attend schools within the Calera school system, so this community is very special to her family. They are very proud to be Calera Eagles and love supporting our students, staff, and school events.

She is looking forward to partnering with families, helping students grow academically and personally, and making this a successful and memorable school year. Go Eagles! 🦅💙💛

Welcome, Mr. Nix! Thank you for choosing to join the fam!

Help us welcome Mr. Nix, devoted husband and a proud father to two wonderful children. His family is incredibly important to him. Outside of work, he cherishes spending quality time with them, particularly enjoying outdoor activities. His personal interests also include following football and engaging in fishing, both of which he finds very relaxing and enjoyable. He is genuinely excited to be joining the CaIS team as a Special Education Teacher and is looking forward to contributing to such a welcoming community.

We are so excited to have Mr. Manly! It’s going to be a great year!

The most important detail about me is that I want to generate a family atmosphere and that comes with being student-centered in everything I do.
Additionally, collaborating with my colleagues and co-teaching with them will be the goal of my teaching career. I can’t wait to get to know the families of all these exceptional students here at Calera Elementary School!! Go EAGLES!
