Pelham Ridge Elementary

School safety is a year-round priority in Pelham City Schools. 💚

Last week, Pelham City Schools staff and our School Resource Officers attended the TAASRO Safe Schools Conference to learn, collaborate, and strengthen school safety practices. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Dorann Tanner was also selected to participate in specialized Project Unite training, a national initiative focused on proactive school safety, prevention, and early intervention.

The learning doesn't stop when the conference ends. We'll continue to plan and work together to ensure our schools remain safe and supportive for students and staff.

Hi everyone! I’m Kaylee Odle and I’m so blessed to be joining the 5th Grade Team at Pelham Ridge this year. My husband, Jacob, is also a teacher, and together we have a lovable Lab-Terrier mix named Taco. We recently moved to Sterrett and are enjoying getting settled into the area. In my free time, I love crafting, writing letters, and the color yellow!

Teaching is truly my passion, and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school community. I can’t wait to get to know all the students, parents, and staff that make PRES amazing! Go Panthers!

My name is Lydia Coltrane and I am beyond excited to step into this role as the school counselor at PRES! I am originally from the Birmingham/Hoover area, but have been living in Mobile, Alabama while I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and most recently, my master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of South Alabama 🐆❤️

I am thrilled to begin working with the students, teachers, and families of the Pelham Ridge community. I look forward to collaborating and creating partnerships that support student success. Let’s have a great year together!

Thank you to our AMAZING art teacher, Mrs. Stith, for her hard work! The fire hydrant looks GREAT and we are so excited to have been part of the City of Pelham’s 250th celebration!

It’s been a full week and we are missing our students BIG! We can’t wait for another full year of exciting experiences and accomplishments!

We’re not sure where all of the time went, but we sure had FUN while in it! We will miss our 5th graders BIG and can’t wait to see them flourish at PPMS!

WE HAD A BLAST AT THE RIDGE! Over the past two days, students have jumped in bouncy houses, raced on dinosaurs, and LIVED THEIR BEST LIVES with water! A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our AMAZING Coaches, Coach Potter and Coach Willard, for planning the BEST field days EVER!
