September is Workforce Development Month, and what better way to celebrate than by bringing together the people who help make Career Readiness happen! 🎓🔧

We kicked off the school year with a breakfast and meeting for our Pelham City Schools CTE Advisory Council, bringing together valued business and industry partners from Encompass Health, W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company, Jefferson State Community College, Quanta Power Solutions, and PHS CTE standout student Isabela Saavedra, along with PCS and PHS CTE administrators and counseling staff. Executive Chef Doug Allen could not be with us today, but we look forward to his input this year!

We are incredibly thankful for these partners who generously give their time, experience, and insight to advise our CTE programs and help us prepare students for the workforce and the needs of our community.

We are proud of the incredible CTE opportunities available to our students across Pelham City Schools—and even more excited about what’s ahead! 💚🖤

Everyone attending (any age) should bring enough supplies for 25-30 meals at a minimum. Please bring all items below:

● Sliced bread - wheat or whole grain preferred
● Deli meat - pre-packaged turkey, chicken, or ham (no deli-counter meat)
● Sliced cheese - pre-packaged, real cheese (not processed)
● Yellow mustard - no spicy mustard or mayo
● Chips - full-size bags made with healthier oils when possible
● Tangerines - Halos or Cuties
● Sandwich bags - zip style, not fold-over
