✨ Instructor Spotlight: Helayne Friedland ✨

We’re thrilled to spotlight ceramic artist, printmaker, graphic designer, and teaching artist Helayne Friedland!

A native New Yorker and BFA graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Helayne has spent more than 30 years working with clay. Her artistic journey has taken her from galleries and craft shows to ceramic workshops across the country—and even to Jingdezhen, China, where she participated in an artist residency at the Sanbao Art Institute.

Today, Helayne brings her passion for ceramics and visual arts into the classroom, inspiring artists of all ages to explore their creativity and, most importantly, learn to trust their own artistic voices.

In her studio, Helayne creates both functional and decorative ceramic forms, often incorporating printmaking techniques into her work.

We’re so grateful to have Helayne as part of the Pelham Art Center community! 🏺🎨
