Hey Parents! It's time to get your kids signed up for band and choir! It was great to meet with them this week, and I'm looking forward to seeing them this Monday, May 4 in the elementary cafeteria for instrument selection night. We'll be there from 4-6 with our music store partners so you can talk with them about renting an instrument and your student can try each instrument.
To sign up for choir, you just need to send back the form students were given this week (also the last image in this post).
To sign up for band, return the same form and join us on Monday.
Why should you join band or choir, you ask...
1️⃣ Higher Academic Success
Students involved in music programs score 10–20% higher on standardized tests and are more likely to graduate. Music strengthens memory, focus, and problem-solving skills.
2️⃣ Stronger Mental Health & Belonging
Over 80% of students in performing ensembles report feeling a stronger sense of connection at school. Music participation is linked to lower stress and anxiety levels.
3️⃣ Real-World Skills That Stick
Music students rank higher in discipline, time management, and perseverance—and these habits translate directly to success in college, careers, and life.
4️⃣Stronger Mental Health & Belonging
Over 80% of students in performing ensembles report feeling a stronger sense of connection at school. Music participation is linked to lower stress and anxiety levels as well as improved attendance.
