🌼🐏💚 GSLS FAMILIES — MARIGOLD PARADE INFORMATION! 💚🐏🌼
We have finally received all of the information for the Marigold Parade! We are so excited to have our GSLS families join us! 🎉
📍 LINE-UP LOCATION: ZONE C
Zone C is located near the 2nd entrance to the Kroger/Papa Murphy’s area.
⏰ MEET TIME: 9:30 AM
The parade begins at 10:00 AM. Please look for the GSLS float when you arrive to find our exact line-up location.
🤠🌼 OUR FLOAT THEME: “OUR BOOTS ARE ROOTED IN CHRIST!” 🌼🤠
This year’s Marigold Festival theme is “Marigold Roots & Country Boots,” and we couldn’t think of a better way to tie it into our GSLS school-year theme, “Rooted in Christ!” ✝️🌱
Our float theme will be:
👢✝️ “OUR BOOTS ARE ROOTED IN CHRIST!” ✝️👢
It goes perfectly with our school-year Bible verse, Colossians 2:6–7, reminding us to continue to walk in Christ, “rooted and built up in Him.” 💚
👕🤠 WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear your Good Shepherd spiritwear and show your RAM PRIDE! 💚🤍🐏
Since we are going COUNTRY for our float, if you have cowboy boots, cowboy hats, or other fun country accessories, wear them! 🤠👢
🌼 WHO CAN RIDE ON THE FLOAT?
• All Pre-K and Kindergarten students may sit on the float.
• If room allows, we will also let 1st grade students ride.
• All students must be accompanied by an adult during the parade.
🚨 IMPORTANT PARADE SAFETY INFORMATION 🚨
➡️ ALL people walking in the parade MUST walk BEHIND the float. No one should walk beside or in front of the float.
🍬 Anyone throwing candy MUST throw it OUT toward the crowd and AWAY from the float, tires, and other vehicles.
These rules are extremely important to help keep our students, families, and everyone participating in the parade safe.
We can’t wait to see our GSLS families decked out in GREEN, WHITE & COUNTRY GEAR as we walk together through Pekin! 🤠💚🤍

Mrs. D’s 3rd & 4th graders had their “Me Museum” today! 🖼️💚

Students had the opportunity to share a little bit about who they are, the things they love, their families, hobbies, favorites, and what makes each of them unique! 🥰

We loved getting to learn more about each of these amazing students and seeing their personalities shine through their projects! ✨
