Our 4th graders have been hard at work learning all about main idea, but there’s always time to sprinkle in a little fun, too! 😎 They also got to celebrate some special birthdays along the way! 🥳🎂

We may be kicking off a brand-new week today, but we couldn’t let these pictures from Friday go unshared! 💙

Our 2nd graders celebrated making it through their first week of second grade with a GLOW DANCE PARTY! 🪩🌟🎶

There was plenty of dancing, glowing, laughing, and celebrating a GREAT first week together! We think it’s safe to say second grade is off to a pretty bright start! 😎✨

And just like that… the whole gang is here! 💙🥹

Today our Pre-K and Kindergarten Bluejays joined us for their first full day, which means Pegram is officially FULL of all of our favorite little people again!

There were new classrooms to explore, routines to learn, friends to make, and lots of first-day memories being made along the way. We know these first days are BIG for our littlest Bluejays (and maybe even bigger for their grown-ups 🥹), and we are so happy to have them here.

Now that everyone is finally together, it really feels like a new school year. 💙

A big THANK YOU to Community Bank for showing our teachers some love! 💙

Over the summer, Community Bank hosted an “Adopt a Teacher” drive and collected school supplies to help support our teachers as they prepared for a brand-new school year. ✏️📚🍎

We are so grateful to live and work in a community that continually shows up for our school, our staff, and our students. Your generosity means more than you know!

We are back to business as usual at Pegram this week! 💙🐦

Our Kindergarten testing is officially complete, and we cannot wait to see all of our Pre-K and Kindergarten sweet faces Friday morning as they begin their school year with us! 🥰📚

📖 Our 2nd graders read The Wizard of Oz and talked about the characters—and how they can show those same qualities every day by being courageous, smart, and kind. They even received special bracelets to remind them that “There’s No Place Like Pegram!” 🌈✨

💧 This Tennessee heat called for a little extra care! We made sure our bus riders had cold bottled water before heading out to those hot buses in the afternoon.

📚 Meanwhile, our 4th graders have been hard at work creating their very own glossaries!

Just another week of learning, caring for one another, and making memories together. 💙

If you’ve ever wondered exactly what Mrs. B does here at Pegram… the answer is a little bit of everything! 💙

Mrs. Buckingham, our school counselor, is here to support ALL of our Bluejays academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Whether she’s teaching a classroom lesson, meeting with a small group, checking in with a student who needs a little extra support, helping work through friendship struggles or big feelings, or celebrating a student’s success—Mrs. B is here for our kids! 🥰

She also works closely with our teachers, staff, families, and community partners because supporting our Bluejays is truly a team effort.

💙🐦 Kindergarten Families — It’s Almost Your Turn! 🐦💙

Kindergarten testing begins next week, and we are so excited to welcome our newest Bluejays to Pegram! ✏️📚

Please take a moment to review the information below for your child’s assigned testing day and other important details.

A couple of important reminders for testing days:

🍎 Students should eat breakfast before arriving and bring a lunch with them.

🚪 Students will be dropped off and picked up through the front office on their assigned testing day.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents will NOT walk their kindergartener to the classroom on testing days. Parents will have the opportunity to walk their child to class on Friday, August 14th — the first official day of Kindergarten! 💙

📚 Mrs. Spain and Mrs. Josie will hold a brief parent meeting from 8:00–8:15 AM in the library on each testing day. Parents are welcome to attend! This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get any information you may need as we prepare for the start of Kindergarten.

We know starting Kindergarten is a BIG milestone—for our little Bluejays and their families! 🥹💙 We’re here to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

We can’t wait to meet everyone!

💙 First Day Fun at Pegram! 💙

And just like that…we’re back! 🥹📚

Our halls were filled with smiling faces, hugs, laughter, and lots of excitement as we welcomed our 1st–4th grade Bluejays back to school today!

We loved seeing everyone reconnect with friends, meet their teachers, and settle back into their classrooms. It was the perfect way to kick off what we know is going to be an amazing school year! 💙🐦
