The Daisy Jopling Music Mentorship Foundation is offering music scholarships for orchestral instrumentalists who, if selected, will rehearse and perform alongside top-level professionals in a one-of-a-kind live show on Friday, November 6, 2026 at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill, NY.

This unique show, called Bloodline of the Land will present original music composed by violinist extraordinaire Daisy Jopling and orchestrations by music director Dean Fransen and feature powerful dance performances by Indigenous Enterprise, a global platform for Indigenous representation through dance, film, fashion, and storytelling.

Applicants must be at least 13 years old and be able to attend all rehearsals and the performance listed below:

Thursday, October 15th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Rehearsal located at Peekskill Middle School Auditorium located at 212 Ringgold St, Peekskill, NY 10566

Thursday, October 29th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Rehearsal located at PeekskillMiddle School Auditorium located at 212 Ringgold St, Peekskill, NY 10566

Thursday, November 5th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Full Dress Rehearsal at Paramount Hudson Valley Theater

Friday, November 6th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM – Rehearsal, meal break, and Evening Performance at Paramount Hudson Valley Theater

Applicants must be able to read music notation well and demonstrate a serious attitude toward improving their musical abilities while playing one of the following instruments:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Pitched and/or Non-pitched Percussion.

Applicants must provide access to an unedited video of themselves performing a solo piece of music (preferably at least two minutes long) which demonstrates their performance ability. Performances with accompaniment are acceptable. Non-pitched Percussionist can provide unedited video of themselves performing orchestral excerpts and foundational rudiments from all four rudimentary families (rolls, paradiddles, flams, and drags) at all dynamic markings.

Applicants must complete and send the Application Form and any video links to the attention of the show’s producer John Carleo at [email protected] by October 4, 2026.

The winners of the 2026 Global Music Academy Orchestra Scholarship Competition will be notified by October 8, 2026.
