Well the animals have had a good bath today

The world measures wealth in dollars. I measure it in sunsets, quiet fields, and moments like this. Not for the perfect fences or the endless chores, but for evenings when the sky catches fire, the farm grows quiet, and these two gentle souls wander over as if to say goodnight.

These are the moments that remind me how blessed this life truly is.

One of my favorite parts of Teal Valley is watching what happens when you mix a little knowledge with a whole lot of imagination.
I can teach the basics, explain the process, and guide little hands... but then comes the best part. I step back and let their creativity run wild.
No two candles looked the same today, and that's exactly how it should be. Every color choice, every layer, every hand-drawn label tells the story of the child who made it.
There isn't a "right" way to create here. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Sometimes the most beautiful projects come from simply giving kids the freedom to imagine.
Today wasn't just about making candles. It was about learning, creating, and being proud of something they made with their own two hands.
And I'd say these little farmers absolutely nailed it.

No visit is complete without a chicken on your head! Welcome to Teal Valley!! From tractor mechanics to vet experiences, we teach it all!

This morning, we had to fix the tractor because a pin fell out, and let's face it, real life isn't always perfect. Then, as we were grooming the animals after the rain had subsided, the pony's eyes were watering, so we distracted her with yummy treats and cleaned out her eye.

Farm life isn't always pretty, but it's always beautiful; it's not always easy, but it's never too hard, and it's not always the cleanest, but you'll find yourself smiling in your muddiest moments. I love this life, and I'm very thankful for the opportunity to pass the knowledge on to kids who will shape the future.
