Raymore-Peculiar Parents As Teachers Parents as Teachers is a free program for all families residing in the Ray-Pec School District.

This program serves families from pregnancy until their child enters Kindergarten. It is designed to inform, support and encourage parents in their important role as their child’s first and most influential teacher. Let us partner with you to give your child the best possible start by ensuring optimal development during their first years of life.

📚 Calling all stay-at-home parents, guardians & daycare teachers! 💛

Looking for a fun way to get your little ones out and about? Reading with Rec is coming to Peculiar! 🌳📖

Starting Tuesdays in September from 10:30–11:30 AM, we’ll meet at one of our parks or indoor locations to read a fun children’s book and enjoy a correlating activity afterward!

Come hang out, make some memories, and read with us! 🥰📚

This simple activity uses pom-poms pushed through the holes of an empty food container—and it’s a great way to build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while having fun! 🧶👀🙌

Families looking for a little extra support this summer can count on help from Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Through their Free Sack Lunch program, students can receive nutritious meals at no cost throughout the summer months.

Lunches will be available Monday through Friday from May 21 through August 24 at multiple convenient locations, including Lakewood Terrace Apartments in Belton, Memorial Park in Raymore, and Waters Tru-Value Hardware in Peculiar.

This program is designed to ensure that students have access to healthy meals even when school is not in session—helping them stay energized, supported, and ready to thrive.
