We sell farmstead goat milk feta cheese and chèvre seasonally. Our year round products include goat milk caramels, goat milk soap, raw honey, beeswax hand salves and more! We do not sell raw milk or goat meat.

Most days running a farm and a nonprofit leaves me asking myself each evening "where the heck did the day go!?" Way too often.

With that said I am going to try to be more regular with updates regarding the nonprofit, Healing Herd Therapy Farm (HHTF) ~ especially the behind the scenes stuff!

But, to be honest the HHTF pages are getting neglected. I hope to change that by updating more regularly.

One of the organizations biggest behind the scenes accomplishments this summer was writing a grant and attending work sessions for the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois Grant Program.

We continue to have big goals for what our non profit can accomplish for our community!

We have written the grant to help with funds to build a sensory garden and mini therapy horse sensory station for kids with special needs & mental health challenges.

We should find out by Nov. 1 if we received the grant! We understand it is a leap to receive these funds as we are a new non profit (just 2 years old!) We are in the building stages so please send us positive and hopeful thoughts from now until November! I will keep you all posted!

Wait to hear the goat sneeze! Goats sneeze for the same reasons we do. The goat sneeze can originate from dusty hay, bedding, pollen, or some mysterious piece of farm debris that found its way up their nose.

Sometimes, they also make sneezy little snorts when they are excited, playing, curious, or have something very important to say:)

The sneeze can also signal to the herd that there is a threat or danger near by. That is what this sneeze seemed to signal. The herd will also cluster together for perceived protection when they hear a loud sneeze from one of its members. They seemed to huddle here.

Happy to report it was just some walnuts falling from the trees. No goats harmed!

Oh! and if you have been sneezed on by a goat, congratulations. You are officially a farmer now.

There is still room in the goat milk soap making class tomorrow (Saturday). Just 2 spots left in the 9:30AM goat hike.

We will have farm fresh flowers for donation to help support Healing Herd Therapy Farm. They are still blooming!🌻
