Dolly Parton’s roots began in 4-H, and throughout her remarkable life, she truly lived the 4-H pledge of giving her “hands to larger service.”🍀💚

Her extraordinary talent touched generations, but her legacy extends far beyond her music. Through her generosity, compassion, and commitment to giving back, she used her success to open doors, inspire young people, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Beef is the largest livestock sector in Texas and one of the top economic drivers in the state. In 2015 alone, the beef industry contributed more than $12 billion to the Texas economy. The cattle industry is made up of several sectors—ranchers who raise calves, backgrounders who grow those animals on forage, and feedyards where cattle are finished on a grain-based diet before harvest. Each step plays a role in producing safe, high-quality beef for consumers.

Texas leads the nation in cattle numbers, and its producers continue to build a strong, sustainable future for agriculture and food production. https://agrilifeextension.tamu.edu
