🧈 Learning by Doing in Agriculture! 🧈

Today in Miss Gandara’s Principles of Agriculture classes, students got hands-on experience making homemade butter! 🐄🥛➡️🧈

Miss Gandara's lesson was a fun way to connect classroom learning to real-world agriculture! Our students were able to see the process firsthand, work together, and—of course—enjoy the delicious results! 😋

We love seeing our Mavericks learning, creating, and having fun! 💚🤍Thank you Miss Gandara!

Congratulations to our Students of the Week!!

Senior Elias Garcia was nominated vy Mr. Sanderson because he is a model student who always completes his work and is reprectful to all around him.

Junior Kaylynn Juergens was nominated by Mrs. Gajjar because she is a smart and confident student who uses her knowledge to help her friends understand the work and believe in themselves. She does an excellent job balancing her studies and band while consistently completing her work. No matter how busy she is, Kaylynn always keeps a smile on her face and brings a positive attitude to the classroom.

Sophomore Nayelli Benavides was nominated by Coach Smoote because she is an amazing student in his English II class.

Freshman Raul Carrizales was nominated by Mrs. Segura for his outstanding dedication to his studies - consistently completing his assignments on time, actively contributing to class discussion, and setting a positive example of leadership for his classmates.

Caught being kind

Seniors Josiah Vela and Xzayven Gandara (not pictured) were nominated by Miss Leeann because during class, a student experienced a medical emergency, and they immediately stepped in to help by moving desks out of the way to make sure she would not hurt herself and used her backpack as a makeshift cushion under her head to keep her as comfortable and safe as possible.

Senior Christian Rojas was nominated by Miss Guerrero because he is always paying attention in class, answering questions, and encouraging his classmates to behave. When Cristian finishes his work, he always checks in on his friends and helps teach them what they don't understand. Cristian is a positive influence on his classmates and their learning!

Freshman Tremaine Mccue was nominated by Mrs. Sindon because of the kindness and responsibility he consistently shows in our classroom. Each day, he takes the initiative to pass out his classmates’ journals and folders so they can immediately begin their warmups. He does this without being asked and without expecting recognition.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MAVERICKS! WE SEE YOU AND WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Week, Mr. Evaristo Bermea

Mr. Bermea is our Construction Teacher at PHS and demonstrates a strong knowledge of his content and provides students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. He does a great job connecting classroom instruction to real-world construction skills and industry expectations. Mr. Bermea emphasizes safety, proper tool use, and quality workmanship while encouraging students to work collaboratively and take pride in their projects. His ability to engage students in hands-on activities helps them develop both technical skills and confidence as they prepare for future careers.
Thank you for all you do for our students!

🎀 Going RED for Dyslexia Awareness Day! 🔴✨
Today, our Pearsall High School Cheer Team are wearing red for World Dyslexia Day! 📣❤️

Did you know that dyslexia affects 1 in 5 people? It has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence, but everything to do with how the brain processes language. We are proud to use our voices today to raise awareness, break the stigma, and support all the amazing, creative, and resilient dyslexic minds in our community.
To everyone who learns differently: you are strong, you are capable, and we are cheering you on today and every day! 🎉🙌
