We had a wonderful January meeting today. Our guest speaker was Kathy Pittman, the President of Cradle of Texas, of the Texas Natural Master Naturalist. She spoke to us about the many animals and species of snakes, spiders, bats, and birds in Brazoria and the many ecosystems we have right in our own backyard. She also showed us the numerous volunteer opportunities you have in outdoor life and wildlife here in Brazoria County.
Next, we started 2026 off with a motivational story about working together and letting the light of TRTA shine out to all. It was exciting to have the President of District 4 at our meeting. She was introduced and gave a talk about what District 4 is planning. We also celebrated the January birthdays and anniversaries of our members. Even though the weather was not totally cold, we did have a hot chocolate bar for everyone. We talked about some of our members who need us to keep them in our prayers. We concluded with our business meeting and some of the activities we did during December. We missed those who were unable to attend and want to wish a very Happy New Year to all .
