Christina Isabel Chea, affectionately known as Izzie, has been surrounded by music since birth. Her mother, Gloria Riddle, would practice piano with her baby bassinet placed underneath. Izzie began piano lessons at age four, joined the Corpus Christi Cathedral Choir at age six, and picked up flute at age eleven. After numerous piano Guild awards, UIL Division One designations on voice, flute and p

iano, an Outstanding Performer Award, Chopin competitions, and the Houston Flute Club's International Competition First place award earned at age fifteen, Izzie chose to pursue music in college, and enrolled at the prestigious University of North Texas School of Music. Izzie studied under Dr. Mary Karen Clardy on flute, Dr. Jeffery Snider on voice, was a member of the Canticum Novum choir under Dr. Henry Gibbons, and the Collegium Musicum early music choir under Dr. Lyle Nordstrom. Izzie eventually switched paths to pursue a career in psychology, and received her B.A. in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston, and her M.A. In Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Izzie lives with her husband, Matt, and two young sons, Julian and Benji, in Pearland, TX.
