The BJA VALOR Program is dedicated to officer safety and helping prevent injuries to and deaths of law enforcement officers and the people they serve. VALOR offers a variety of avenues to provide officers with opportunities to learn about the many facets of officer safety. VALOR training components consist of both on-site and online training, through which law enforcement officers enhance their un

derstanding of emerging threats and challenges that they routinely face in the line of duty, as well as recognizing strategies for defusing dangerous situations, enhancing their resiliency, and implementing casualty care and rescue tactics training. VALOR also provides officers with tools to enhance their professionalism while utilizing techniques for preventing and de-escalating situations that may result in violent encounters. The VALOR Web Portal provides the officers and the public with 24/7 access to ready-to-use officer safety-related content in a wide range of areas. This project was supported by Grant No. 15PBJA-22-GK-01404-VALO awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
