Way to go Dawson High School seniors who were recognized and awarded scholarships from Keep Pearland Beautiful, many of whom serve on KPB’s Youth Environment Council.

A BIG shout out to Keep Pearland Beautiful for supporting our Eagles over the years… of the $185,000 they’ve given out in senior scholarships, $108,000 of that has been awarded to Dawson students. That shows the high level our students have committed over the years to environmental and conservation efforts in our community. What a way to support our community in impactful ways!

Also, all awardees have committed to continue at least one environmental impact project at college in their new communities. Plus, they will continue to commit to reducing single use consumption and on campus recycling. Way to continue your impact in communities where you live!

Dawson High School’s Eagles Fan Fest is just one full day this year!

When: Wednesday, August 5
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Where: Dawson High School

Eagles Fan Fest is a great opportunity to make sure the Skyward Student Verification/Online Registration is complete to avoid any surprises on the first day of school. This event is come and go at your convenience event for all high school students, not only incoming 9th graders.

Students will also be able to:
- Take student ID pictures
- Select and pay for student parking
- Purchase Dawson merchandise
- Learn about campus organizations and shop for organization gear
- Visit with counselors on selected courses
- Enter a drawing to win a Dawson merchandise basket for your grade level

Important:
Skyward Student Verification/Online Registration must be completed before attending Fan Fest.

Dawson High School is happy to invite the Class of 2030 to our annual Dawson Flight School. This freshman orientation will give you an opportunity to tour the building, attend your first pep rally, learn about Eagle Hour, and have a great time with other freshmen.

Freshman Parent Meeting!
PARENTS: Dawson will host an incoming Freshman Parent Meeting to discuss very important information for the upcoming school year. Two meetings will be held with the exact same content to split the parents into two groups to accommodate the community.

For parents with the student’s last names A – L, please park on the school's right side (band/fine arts practice area). The parents will enter through the auditorium doors while the students will walk around and enter the main front doors. This meeting is from 5:20 – 6:15 pm. When the meeting is over, parents may leave and come back at 7:30 pm when Flight School is over, and the students are released.

For parents with the student’s last names M – Z, please drop your student off at the main front door between 5:00 pm – 5:20 pm. Feel free to run a few errands and then return and park on the right side of the school to enter the auditorium doors for the 6:30 pm meeting. When the meeting is over, you can have your student walk over to the parking lot, or you may drive around the front to pick them up.
