Every school day counts! 💜💛 Regular attendance helps students stay on track academically, keep up with assignments, and make the most of their time in the classroom.

🏖️ Planning a family vacation or getaway?
We know family time is important! When possible, please plan trips around student holidays, long weekends, and scheduled school breaks. Our 2026–27 Vacation Planning Calendar makes it easier to find those perfect opportunities to get away without missing valuable instructional time. ✈️🧳

The calendar includes several 3-day and 4-day weekends, along with Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break.

📌 REMEMBER: Students may be considered absent when they miss all or part of the school day, including late arrivals and early checkouts.

📝 REPORTING AN ABSENCE

If your student is absent, please submit documentation through the Pearland ISD Absence Portal or provide a written note.

⏰ Absence documentation should be submitted within 3 days of the student's return to school.
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent notes may excuse up to 5 days per semester.
🩺 If your student attends an appointment with a healthcare professional, please provide documentation from the provider showing the date and time of the appointment.
