Natalan brings a powerful combination of organizational support, program development, regulatory experience, large-organization structure, and treatment services management to our growing team. She understands the importance of strong systems behind strong services—and that matters when the goal is to serve children and families with excellence.

Beyond her professional experience, Natalan is a wife, mother, and advocate who brings compassion, structure, leadership, and purpose to the work.

Bam brings several years of case management experience, along with the heart, compassion, and dedication it takes to serve children and families well. She is a wife and mother, a true team player, and a go-getter who brings both professionalism and purpose to everything she does.

She is also a wife and proud mother of beautiful twins, bringing both professional experience and the perspective of a nurturing parent to the work we do every day.

We are excited to officially welcome Carlos Aguilar to The Davenport Foundation as our new Supervisor of Case Management! 💚💙🩷

Carlos brings over 17 years of experience working with the medical community, children and families, along with a genuine passion for leadership, advocacy, and helping others reach their full potential. His experience also includes marketing and photography.

A devoted husband and father, His expertise in mentoring boys and men, providing guidance, encouragement, accountability, and positive leadership that strengthens individuals and families are a true testament to who he is.

As The Davenport Foundation continues to grow, we are intentional about building a team of people who understand that this work is bigger than a position—it is about advocacy, relationships, impact, and changing lives.

We are excited about the knowledge, experience, and leadership Carlos brings to our Case Management Department and even more excited to welcome him into our family of Advocates and Builders!

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: PLEASE STOP DEFINING CHILDREN BY FOSTER CARE. 🚨

Let’s be very clear:

A child being in foster care does NOT define who they are.

They are not “the foster child.”
They are not automatically “at-risk.”
They are not broken.
They are not their trauma.
And they should never be treated as though their circumstances are their identity.

They are children. ❤️

Children with personalities.
Children with talents.
Children with dreams.
Children with families and communities.
Children with goals and bright futures.

Maybe it’s time to take “Foster” out of Foster Care and just CARE.

Care about the child.
Care about their feelings.
Care about their dignity.
Care about their experiences.
Care about their education.
Care about their future.

Foster care may be a chapter in a child’s story — but it is NOT the whole story.

As an agency committed to advocating for children and families, The Davenport Foundation will continue to speak up when language, practices, or environments have the potential to create unnecessary trauma for children who have already experienced significant life changes.

Our children deserve trauma-informed educators, compassionate support, dignity, privacy, and the opportunity to simply be children.

So, to every school, educator, administrator, caregiver, and community member:

See the child before the case.
See the potential before the label.
See the person before the placement.

And maybe most importantly…

Take “Foster” out of Foster Care.

Just CARE. ❤️

Because our children deserve to be cared for — not categorized.

There is something deeply special about being chosen. As children in care, these two little girls had already experienced a world that could be cruel but this Dad chose to meet their pain with patience, their fears with protection, and their hearts with unconditional love.

He chose to stand between them and the hurt and remind them, “You are safe. You are wanted. You are worthy.”

In his arms, they found more than comfort they found a safe place, a love that chooses them again and again, every single day. Sometimes family is born through blood, and sometimes it is built through the beautiful decision to love children on purpose. 💙

Professional Parents don’t just show up—they advocate, nurture, protect, teach, and love children through every season. 🩷💚🩵

At The Davenport Foundation, we call our foster and adoptive parents “Professional Parents” because caring for children is heart work, hard work, and some of the most important work anyone can do!

They make a difference every day…and somehow, they make it look easy! 😎

We can’t wait to see our amazing parents rocking their new shirts!
