Is it a big deal if a new therapy is able to resolve suicidal thoughts rapidly - sometimes in as few as 1–3 sessions?

I'm not talking about simply managing symptoms or putting a band-aid on the problem. I'm talking about a process that seeks to identify and address the underlying emotional wounds driving the distress, so that individuals no longer feel trapped by suicidal thoughts and can begin exploring the deeper factors that contributed to them in the first place.

I was having a conversation with some friends last week, when I casually mentioned that I have been able to help individuals experiencing suicidal ideation in about 1-3 individual sessions of energy-Based Psychotherapy. Their reaction surprised me. They viewed this as something extraordinary!! I guess I have been so focused on helping people with anxiety, burnout, and deep trauma that I had almost overlooked what was right in front of me.

After the call, I felt prompted to review years of client notes, looking for every time a client came in with suicidal ideation. I found a consistent pattern in both the presentation of suicidal ideation and the therapeutic process that appeared to produce rapid improvement. There was a clear pattern - not once, not twice but again and again.

What struck me most was that, in many cases, clients experiencing suicidal thoughts were deeply connected to the emotional pain driving their distress. Once those underlying wounds were identified and processed, meaningful change often followed.

As this information is taken from case studies, it is anecdotal and therefore needs to be investigated properly. What would it take to study and scale an approach that appears capable of reducing suicidal ideation in individuals within just a few sessions?

I'm increasingly convinced that these outcomes deserve rigorous research. If you're involved in mental health, philanthropy, academic research, program evaluation, or su***de prevention, I'd welcome a conversation about partnerships, pilot programs, funding opportunities, or research collaborations that could help evaluate this work and determine where it might fit within the broader mental health landscape.

We are one week away from our next Online Healing Circle.

In the four Healing Circles that I have facilitated so far, those in attendance have not only experienced a reset in their nervous system and a release of stress, they have also experienced:

• Complete healing of minor physical pain
• Renewed hope and openness around healing more significant physical challenges
• A deep sense of relaxation and inner calm after periods of stress or overwhelm
• Emotional release and the ability to let go of stored tension
• Feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded
• Reconnection with themselves and a sense of “coming back home” internally
• Greater mental clarity and a shift in perspective around personal challenges
• Improved sleep and a more regulated nervous system after the session
• A sense of being supported, seen, and not alone in their healing journey
• Increased capacity to be present with their emotions without feeling overwhelmed
• Subtle but powerful energetic shifts that continue to unfold after the circle
• A deepened sense of inner guidance, intuition, or connection to something greater than themselves (often described as a spiritual or guiding presence)

Come join me next Tuesday April 28th at 7:30pm Central Time for a little magic!! Here is the registration link: https://mental-wellness-initiative-1.kit.com/8f4a9148b8

Even when we do something from the heart and without any expectation of a return, simply because it is the right thing to do and simply because there is such a thing as karma yoga, we may still wonder if we are truly making a difference………….and then a message like this arrives 💛

This is the reason why I continue to show up over and over. This is why I hold the space for healing. This is why these Healing Circles are offered freely to anyone who feels called.

There is nothing more meaningful than being able to witness someone choosing themselves… investing in their healing… even in the midst of uncertainty… even in the midst of suffering… even in the midst of the craziness of life. This witnessing is so deeply humbling.

Messages like this remind me that what we offer from the heart always lands where it is meant to. All we have to do is to show up and be ourselves.

If you’ve been feeling the nudge, consider this your invitation. You don’t have to walk this path alone ✨

Here are the upcoming Online Healing Circle Topics for the months of April and May:
April 14th - Coming Home To Yourself
April 28th - The Power of Being Present
May 12th - Befriending Your Inner Experience
May 26th - From Resistance to Resilience

Today's full moon is in the lunar mansion / nakshatra of Hasta - symbolized by the hands. The hands represent power, control, creation. In fact, the major chakras in the hands are also connected to our manifestation ability and the prosperity that we draw to ourselves. Clearly, power and control have both a beautiful side to them as well as a dark side to them.

However, with Mars moving into Pisces to meet Saturn (Lord of karma and the underworld) and Neptune (no boundaries), we are likely to see more geopolitical tensions and escalations in conflict, with heads of states making stupid decisions. The building pressure and tensions can be extremely challenging and ungrounding, so I want to bring our attention back to what we do have power over and how we can utilize the current energy as a force of good.

Hasta supports us when we can be assertive to make things happen, so this is a great time to manifest the good in our lives, to serve our communities and create a healthier planet. Avoid situations of conflict within and externally and focus our energy towards creating good in our lives. This difficult time too shall pass…………

Since 2017, I had a strong feeling to move my work more and more in the direction of mental health and so in 2019, I began to set up a nonprofit. I felt there would be a great need for integrative mental health and wellness services that could help people in understanding and recovery from stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma and more through integrative education, services, programs and other resources.

It's been a long road to get here, but I am delighted to offer a twice monthly Healing Circle Online, where we can come together to breathe, reset our nervous systems and maybe go deeper into transformation. I use an integrative approach blending a background in mental health, extensive study in psychology, neuroscience, depth, archetypal and transpersonal work with complementary therapies such as breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, biofield healing therapies and hypnotherapy.

If this calls out to you, please come and join us this coming Tuesday at 7:30 pm CT. Here is the link to register and the Zoom call details will be emailed to you.

There is much power in coming together in community that feels safe, supportive and sacred for the purpose of healing, growth and personal development.

A safe and supportive community means it is a drama-free, non-judgmental space where we are free to be ourselves and there is no need to perform, hide or pretend that everything is okay. In such a space, everyone must feel they are seen, heard and accepted as they are – no matter their background, their life experiences or their pain. Such spaces make us feel like we are not alone in our struggles and this feeling itself can be extremely healing.

As a facilitator, I love creating such sacred spaces and gently guiding those present to connect with deeper parts of themselves and witnessing the transformations that take place.

This past Tuesday night, old and new friends came together to be in community with me at my Online Healing Circle. We started with a gentle grounding through hypnotherapy and breathing and everyone present received a powerful energy clearing. It was so wonderful to hear everyone share their experiences at the end. I heard several people say they were able to let go of the tension in their body and how they now felt more relaxed. A few people went deeper and were able to really connect with the energies of the Earth to feel some powerful shifts.

I can’t wait for next Tuesday’s Healing Circle. Come join us if you could use some nervous system reset, releasing the tension in the body and coming back home to yourself. I’ll be guiding everyone a little deeper into Grounding after I share some valuable information about the Three Levels of Grounding.

Some days it feels like the world is falling apart. Some days it feels overwhelming to deal with all the conflict, chaos, and war. These are strange times that many of us never imagined we would ever live to see.

And even though things may feel really heavy at times and the noise can get deafening, it is important to note that the sun is still rising, and the flowers still bloom.

Not to make things feel trivial in any way, we need to remember to take some time to breathe, to nurture ourselves, and put our own self-care at the top of the list. Limit the noise of the outside world and connect with what is rooted in goodness in our own life.

If we look at history, we can see that humanity has walked through many dark chapters and yet, it is always through courage, resilience, compassion and kindness that gets us through.

In these times, it is imperative that we take extra time every day to unplug from the world, breathe, relax, and have fun. These are activities that nurture our parasympathetic nervous system and encourage a state of balance and homeostasis in our bodies.

Otherwise, all the ongoing turmoil, the uncertainty, the conflicting narratives and the horrors coming to light in the current world climate can act like a wrecking ball to our nervous system. Our brains are not designed to process a constant stream of trauma-based information. Over time, this can lead to cognitive overload, where our nervous systems become locked in fight or flight. In the process, we end up feeling psychologically unsafe in the world. This eventually leads to feelings of helplessness and powerlessness because we don’t have a way to change anything and lays the ground for developing compassion fatigue, burnout, anxiety, depression and even suicidal ideation.

If you are reading this, please put self-care at the top of your list of priorities. This is the only way we are going to make it through this without going insane, shutting down or falling apart.

Over the past twenty-five years, on and off, I’ve facilitated a Healing Circle across the three states I’ve lived in (Arizona, California, and Utah). This has been a sacred space where I share snapshots of my work, where I weave together tools and practices from many different complementary approaches such as meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, biofield healing therapies and hypnotherapy with my background in conventional psychology, neuroscience, depth work and archetypal and transpersonal psychotherapies. This creates a beautiful foundation to help us better understand ourselves, take a moment for self-connection, grow our self-awareness, and gently find the places within us that are out of alignment with our true selves so that healing can begin.

This foundational work not only lays the ground, but prepares people for going deeper in private sessions or in small group intensives with Energy-Based Psychotherapy.

Those who have journeyed with me for a while know that there are two things that are unique to me. The first is my ability to tune into a group's energetic blueprint and facilitate transformation from there, by clearing discordant energies from the biofield. The second is I don’t ever follow a script in whatever process I am guiding clients through. If I am facilitating a guided meditation or hypnotherapy, I often don’t know what I will say until the moment the words arrive intuitively, and somehow it always seems to be exactly what is needed for that group at that time. Each person receives what they are ready for in terms of depth, clarity, and transformation.

When Covid hit in 2020, all of my in-person work came to a sudden halt, and after a lot of hesitation, I moved a few things online. My resistance was wondering if I could still attune to a group’s energetic blueprint through a screen. So, I began experimenting with a small, trusted group, facilitating energy clearings over Zoom. Over the past five years, through lockdowns, transitions, and our move to Texas; those experiments helped me refine my processes and grow my confidence in being able to hold powerful group spaces online.

The past few months, I’ve felt a very clear inner nudge to start a FREE Weekly Healing Circle online so that anyone, anywhere, can join. Recent world events have intensified an already growing mental health crisis. The uncertainty, the conflicting narratives, the chaos, and the horrors coming to light have created a collective atmosphere where many people no longer feel safe or know who to trust. In times like these, it becomes essential to create safe, grounded spaces where we can come together to breathe, reset our nervous systems, reconnect with ourselves, and remember that we are not alone.

In our Healing Circle, I’ll be using an integrative framework to explore topics such as grounding and centering, the subtle body, dreams, authenticity, archetypes, the hero’s journey, anxiety, trauma, dissociation, soul retrieval, and more. This will always be with a focus on practical tools people can take away with them to use in their everyday lives.

March is dedicated to Grounding. On March 3rd, we’ll begin with gentle grounding practices, and on March 10th, we’ll go deeper into understanding the three levels of grounding and how they relate to our physical, emotional, and energetic stability. If this resonates with you and you’d like to participate, please save those dates at 7:30 pm Central Time. As we move into April, the Healing Circle will continue weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm.

If you’re feeling the call to reconnect with yourself, soften your anxiety, and be part of a community committed to inner healing and emotional resilience, you are warmly invited to join us. More info is on the way……………

Where does the process of INDIVIDUATION begin, and where does it end? Can the continual building of our ego ever take us to a place of true completion? Is there really an overlap between what our ego desires and what our soul longs for? And what if the end result of building a stronger and stronger ego; especially if we convince ourselves that we’re living in a simulation, that we are God, and that there is no such thing as karma or moral consequence is not enlightenment at all, but a slide into narcissism or even psychopathy.

There are so many different variations and beliefs about what people think the “truth” is, but none of us can be certain we know for sure. Any spiritual experience we have, especially when it feels deeply transformational, can tempt us to believe we’ve finally grasped the truth. And yet, how can we be sure it isn’t just another sophisticated illusion conjured up by our mind? Even the most powerful awakening is still only a tiny window into a much larger whole.

In recent years, especially with the rise of AI, so much of the conversation has shifted toward promoting particular philosophical positions about what reality is and who we are. As someone who is grounded in the social sciences, I have struggled with how abstract and detached some of this has become and fear that all it does is promote dissociation in our culture. I believe we should bring our attention back to what is practical and in touch with making life more livable for all of us. Perhaps we would serve humanity better by cultivating empathy, compassion, integrity, and genuine care for each other.

For those of us in the spiritual space, perhaps the real mark of spiritual maturity is not how perfectly we can describe the nature of reality, but how we show up in it, how we treat the people around us, especially when there is nothing for our ego to gain.
