Our front office staff will be enjoying their summer vacation next week, June 15th through June 19th. The front office will be closed during this time. We will reopen on Monday, June 22nd for our regular summer hours.

When one of our Alvin ISD families is in need, we come together — and that is exactly what happened this week. Due to unexpected rain damage at Marek Elementary, Nolan Ryan Junior High is honored to open our doors and host their end-of-year grade level celebrations and 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony.

We never wanted these students to miss the opportunity to celebrate all of their hard work, accomplishments, and special memories from this school year. Our Longhorn family is excited to welcome these future students and their families into our building as we celebrate this important milestone together.

This is what we do in Alvin ISD — we support one another, show up for one another, and ensure our students always feel loved, valued, and celebrated. 💙

Hello Summer! The last day of school is an early release day!

Elementary schools will release at 12:10 p.m., junior high schools will get out at 12:50 p.m., and high schools will release at 11:30 p.m.

🎉 IReady Glow Party! Congratulations to all of the students who worked hard and met their goal this year! 🎉

Marek alumnus, and author, Franklin Edwards, led a writing workshop for some fifth graders today. Taylor Comeaux's writing was chosen to be published on Amazon, and all students gathered new information and had an opportunity to learn from an author! Thanks to Blue Cross/Blue Shield for sponsoring the event!

ST Math & Imagine Math Celebration

Students enjoyed a snack and extra recess for completing their ST Math puzzles and Imagine Math lessons for the year!

Friday evening, Ms. LeBoeuf and a group of selected 3rd-5th grade students were part of The Sequence Is Yours, an art show for the Teacher Advisory Group with Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. The exhibition was hosted by ARTECHouse Houston. Students and their families enjoyed being part of an incredible art show opening celebration and digital art museum experience.

The exhibition is on display in the lobby of ARTECHouse Houston and open to the public through May 25. Stop by and check out the creative collaborations between Houston-area art teachers, their students, and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston!
