As we get ready to kick off another school year, we couldn't be more excited for what's ahead! This semester marks the beginning of a new chapter as the Hinds EMS Program moves into our brand new Health Sciences Complex in Rankin County. We can't wait to welcome our new students into this incredible facility and continue preparing the next generation of EMS professionals.

As many of you know, we've been busy moving campuses over the past few weeks. During the transition, our office phone lines have been temporarily unavailable. If you need to get in touch with us, please send us a text message, and we'll get back to you as quickly as possible. Charlotte McFarland 6013971514 or Jessie Jones 6013415982. (Please spread the word to our students starting this semester)

Here's to an exciting new year, a new home, and new opportunities. We can't wait to see everyone soon! πŸš‘πŸŽ‰

So proud of Amber, one of our most recent graduates!!!

Congratulations to Amber Ervin, our June 2026 Employee of the Month! πŸ’™

Amber is recognized by her peers for working well with others and being one of the best patient advocates. She is committed to providing great patient care and supporting her team. This honor comes during a special week as Amber also graduated from paramedic school from Hinds Community College.

Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!

That's a wrap. πŸŽ“πŸš‘

We couldn't be more proud of this class. They've put in the work, overcome challenges, and earned every bit of this moment. Watching them grow into future paramedics has been an honor.

Now it's on to the real world!!! Please keep these students in your prayers as they take the next step in their journey. I have no doubt they're going to do great things for the communities they'll serve.

Today marks a huge milestone for this incredible group. Every single one of our paramedic students successfully completed the program and crossed the finish line!

Over the past year, they've faced long days, challenging scenarios, difficult exams, clinicals, ambulance shifts, and countless hours of studying. Through it all, they pushed through the tough moments, and never gave up!

Now there's only one step left: the National Registry (NREMT) exam. Once they conquer that final challenge, they'll officially earn the title of Nationally Registered Paramedic!!!!

We couldn't be more proud of each of them and can't wait to see the impact they'll have on their communities and the patients they'll serve.

As they prepare for the biggest test of their journey, we'd appreciate it if you would keep these students in your prayers. Pray for peace over their minds, confidence in their abilities, clear thinking, and success as they take the NREMT. We know they have put in the work, now it's time to show it.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your Hinds EMS family is proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way. πŸš‘β€οΈ

We love seeing our alumni making a difference in the communities they serve!

Congratulations to Hinds Community College EMS Program alumnus **Officer Peyton Owens** on being named Richland Police Department's **2026 Officer of the Quarter**.

Officer Owens, a licensed paramedic, was recognized alongside Sgt. Cotton for their outstanding response to a traffic accident involving two children. Their quick actions, medical knowledge, and dedication to patient care helped provide critical treatment until additional emergency responders arrived. Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, both children made a full recovery.

This recognition is a testament to the impact that skilled, compassionate first responders can have during someone's worst day. We are incredibly proud to call Peyton one of our graduates and are honored to see him continuing to serve others with professionalism, courage, and compassion.

Congratulations, Peyton! Your Hinds EMS family is proud of you.

What a day! πŸŽ‰ We are incredibly proud to announce that every one of our paramedic students successfully passed their skills today! Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice truly paid off.

By the time everything was over, everyone was so excited (and exhausted!) to head home that we completely forgot to take a group picture. We'll call that a good problem to have! πŸ˜‚

The video captures those pre-test nerves perfectly but there is always one... in true governor's fashion, he "stays ready".

Congratulations to each of you! You've earned this accomplishment and are one step closer to becoming outstanding paramedics. We are so proud of each and every one of you! πŸš‘β€οΈ
