Some of the most important moments in childhood are the ones adults are tempted to overlook.

✨ The random stories.
✨ The endless talking.
✨ The excited interruptions.
✨ The “Mom, look!”
✨ The little details that seem small in the middle of busy days.

When a child runs to tell us something with excitement, they aren’t just sharing information and they’re sharing their inner world. They’re saying:
💕 “You matter to me.”
💕 “I want to connect with you.”
💕 “I feel safe bringing this to you.”

And the way we respond becomes part of how they learn to see themselves.

Children slowly stop sharing when they feel dismissed, rushed, ignored, or like they’re “too much” over and over again. But when they feel listened to, welcomed, and emotionally received, it strengthens connection, trust, confidence, and emotional safety.

Being excited to listen doesn’t mean you have to be perfect or available every second of the day. It simply means slowing down enough, whenever possible, to let your child feel seen.

Because long after they forget the details of what they said, they will remember how it felt to be heard. 🫶🏼
