WHY THIS MATTERS. 💚
Last year you saw the 45-pound vest, the 50-pound sled, and the American flag.
Those were the weights you could see.
The reason I did it was for the weight you can’t see.
Grief. Depression. Loneliness. Loss. Fear. Hopelessness.
I understand some of that darkness personally. I am a survivor.
That’s why this isn’t simply another physical challenge for me.
And it isn’t only my story.
People around us every day may be fighting battles we know absolutely nothing about.
The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention works through research, education, advocacy, and support to help save lives and bring hope to people affected by su***de.
AFSP reports reaching 1.67 million people through its programs and events last year.
That’s what your support helps us stand behind.
We’ve now raised $800 of our $3,000 goal.
And every $50+ donation can put a name on my event shirt — your name, someone you love, someone you lost, a survivor, or someone still fighting.
On September 26, I’ll carry those names for all three miles.
But whether you donate $10, $50, share this post, or simply start a conversation:
You can be part of this mission.
