Eligibility requirements:
United States citizen or lawful permanent resident
Have a bachelor degree in any discipline or be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces
Currently enrolled in, or applied for admission/transfer to, a cybersecurity-related
program at the University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC) or partner UHCC institutions
(Kapiolani CC, Leeward CC, Honolulu CC and other UHCCs):
o Associate in science (AS) degree in computer information systems, or related
STEM field (ASNS, AS in ECET, ICS or IT or CENT)

SOON…it will be that time to register for SPRING 2019 classes (classes begin on January 7, 2019)! Spring 2019 registration starts on November 5th. Take these steps to register for classes by –
1) KNOW - Know when you register. Please see the timetable below to see the day you will be registering (Registration timetable found at: http://myuhinfo.hawaii.edu/object/uhcctimetable.html):

* On Tuesday, November 6, offices will be closed in observance of General Election Day. Although offices will be closed, online registration via STAR GPS will be ongoing.
You can log into STAR (https://www.star.hawaii.edu/studentinterface/), click on “Academic Essentials”, and see “Earned Credits”. Based on the Registration Table above, you will see what day you can start to register for classes.
2) SEE – See the classes you can choose by looking at the schedule for possible class options. This will be available the week of October 29th, please go to the University of Hawaii Check Class Availability at: http://myuhinfo.hawaii.edu/page/checkclass.html, click on "Leeward CC Check Class Availability" and click on "SPRING 2019".
3) REGISTER - Registering for classes, just go to myuh.hawaii.edu and click/log into STAR (https://www.star.hawaii.edu/studentinterface/), then click on “GPS Registration”. You will need to find SPRING 2019, and then click on “Register-Add/Drop Classes”.
4) SIGN – Fill out & Sign the Veterans Student Enrollment Information Form (VSEI) to be sure the VA education benefits pays for your registered classes (i.e. Post 911 GI Bill, CH 33; Dependents Educational Assistance, CH 35; Montgomery GI Bill, CH 1606 or CH 30). Get this form at the Veterans Resource Center (BS-103) or at the VA Education Benefits desk in the Admissions & Records office (Diamond Head Portables, Area A). [Note: If you are a Vocational Rehabilitation CH 31 student, you will also need to be sure you get a current VA 22-1905 Form from your Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, in addition to the VSEI Form.]

*******OPERATION TEXTBOOK DROP********
The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) welcomes you to donate textbooks for our Veterans! After the semester or books from the prior semester, we welcome you to drop off any textbooks to help your fellow vets. Sometimes a veteran student may need a textbook to borrow in the first couple weeks of classes (while waiting for their book stipend)... you can help this vet! Many of the classes are also using ebooks or digital formats, so student may also want to have the physical book handy for the semester...your donated book can really help this vet too!
We welcome you to help our vets with Operation Textbook Drop...Bring your textbooks to donate at the VRC, which will be placed in the Lending Library and used by a student vet in need. Pass by the VRC from Mondays - Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, except holidays, and drop them off at BS-103 (Leeward CC, Pearl City campus).
