The PCES Chess Club had a field trip this past Saturday to the Hawai’i Chess Federation’s December Sectional Scholastic Chess Tournament at Washington Middle School. PCES won 2nd place in the K-5 category bracket, with top scorers (medal winners) including Kamanao K.K., Kendel B., and Matthew R. Mia R. also had an impressive 75-minute win in the 4th round.
According to Coach Darby, all students demonstrated extraordinary sportsmanship, learned much from the experience, and performed well!

In honor of Veterans Day, students are encouraged to wear red, white, and/or blue attire on Friday, November 8, to remember and celebrate those who have served our country.
PCES will be having our Fall Mini Carnival to reward students for their hard work.
We need your assistance to run games and booths. The more parent volunteers we have, the more games and booths we can make available for the students.
We are also asking for donations of snacks and/or water for our adult volunteers. If you’re available to help; please check the link in our bio.
