Momilani Elementary School 5th graders perform to Cinderella before a packed house of ohana and friends

Congratulations to Momilani Elementary School 5th grade drama performers who sang and danced with perfection in an evening performance of “Cinderella” before a jam packed school cafeteria on Friday, September 18.

Beloved Momilani Elementary School Drama Director Shannon Winpenny produced and directed a wonderful adaptation of the Cinderella classic.

The 5th graders performed two shows on Friday with the first show in the morning in front the Momilani Elementary ohana, and the second show an evening performance before adoring ohana and friends.

Thank you to Momilani Elementary School Counselor Lance Nishihara for the invitation to attend the evening performance. I had a great time!

Badges & Buckets bring law enforcement and communities together across the islands in support of Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes.

Formerly known a Cop on Top, this signature Law Enforcement Torch Run event puts a new spin on a longtime tradition. For three days, off-duty law enforcement officers take to elevated platforms while their fellow officers hit the ground with donation buckets – raising awareness and rallying their communities behind Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes.

The support generated through Badges & Buckets helps Special Olympics Hawaiʻi provide year-round sports, competitions, health programs, and opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities across the state.

Stop by a Badges & Buckets location, say aloha to our participating officers, and show your support for Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes.

Every bucket filled helps create more opportunities for athletes to train, compete, build confidence, and be part of a community where everyone belongs.
