Drafting students recently took a field trip to Radford University where they had the opportunity to tour the entire campus. They were given a detailed tour of the Design program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. The tour ranged from graphic design to set design. The students also met with admissions to discuss the admission process. The drafting instructor is Mrs. Emily Buckland.

Precision Machining Senior students recently toured the New River Community College Machine Tech program. Machining students at GCTC are able to obtain 6 dual enrollment credits toward a Machine Technology associate degree at NRCC. Pictured are students from Machine Tech I and Machine Tech III. Attention all Giles County 10th Grade Students

The Tech Center will be holding our annual open house for all 10th grade students on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 2:00-6:00. The Tech Center offers many programs that lead to high demand and high wage professions and many of the programs are dual enrolled with New River Community College. Our instructors and Career Counselor will be available to speak to you and your student about all the opportunities available to them.

Coming soon to a healthcare facility near you! Our CNA students have been busy learning about Infection Control, Personal Protective Equipment and Patient Care. These students will be attending a local healthcare facility in the near future to assist staff with patient care. Mr. Justin Olinger and Mrs. Heidi Sizemore are their nursing instructors.
