Phi Mu Fraternity
Steadfast in sisterhood since 1852 🩷 The principles of Love, Honor and Truth apply as much to online communications as they do to in-person interactions.
In order to protect our information, Phi Mu National Headquarters reserves the right to remove private and sensitive posts; any decision made by an account administrator is final. We also reserve the right to contact the authors of any posts that become disrespectfully argumentative, engage in harassment and/or bashing and do not maintain a sisterly tone of conversation.

In a world that rewards toughness, we've always believed in something different.
We believe in showing up with empathy. In caring for one another loudly, consistently and without apology.
That's not softness. That's strength.

The bonds we build as sisters have a way of showing back up — in a new job, in a new city, in a hard moment you didn't see coming. Phi Mu doesn't end at graduation. It just keeps going.

Every Phi Mu has that person. The one you call first — good news or bad, big moment or just a Tuesday.
Who's yours? Tag her. ⬇️
College is a lot. It’s the best and the worst, sometimes all at once.
Phi Mu is the place where you don’t have to figure it out alone. From the very first day, you’re surrounded by women who want to see you win — and who show up just as hard on the hard days.
You’re welcomed here as you are, not as you think you need to be.

There's something about a sister who just gets it. Who knows when to push you forward and when to just sit with you. Who shows up — for the big stuff and the everyday stuff, too.
That's what we've been building for nearly 175 years. And we're not stopping now.

From friends to fairways, Alexandra Riley is taking her Phi Mu sisterhood on the road as she travels; meeting Phi Mu women from around the country while creating new memories with her sisters from college.
From the moment she walked through the doors of Phi Mu, The University of Alabama, she knew she had found home. “I felt the warmth and connection to every single person I came in contact with. It felt so refreshing to be surrounded by women who are true and genuine to themselves and who are there to cheer you on through the good and the bad.” Serving as Membership Director for two years, living in the house and embracing every opportunity to step outside her comfort zone shaped not only her college experience, but the woman she is today.
Now navigating life on the road of professional golf, sisterhood remains a constant. From monthly voice memos with her pledge class to reconnecting with Phi Mu sisters across the country while traveling, the bonds formed in college continue to grow in meaningful ways. As she prepares for a new season of life- including welcoming a baby this year and returning to Alabama- she hopes to give back to the same chapter that gave her so much.
Her advice to young women in Phi Mu? Say yes to it all. Go to the events, meet new people, live in the house if you can and take every chance to get involved. “The four years go by so quickly,” she says, “and the moments that push you outside your comfort zone are often the ones that shape you the most.”
