One of the greatest compliments we can receive is seeing our students choose to spend their summers learning.
This summer, Foundry Academy students are scattered across Georgia doing incredible things. One is interning at Zoo Atlanta, caring for and learning about wildlife. Others are working at Bear Creek Nature Center, helping educate visitors and caring for native animals. One student is developing welding skills in the trades, another is working as an aviation mechanic, another is preserving local history with the Senoia Area Historical Society, some are in the medical field, and many more are gaining real-world experience in fields they're passionate about.
We couldn't be more proud.
Internships do something a classroom alone can't. They allow students to test their interests, work alongside professionals, solve real problems, and understand what excellence looks like in the workplace. They build confidence, communication skills, responsibility, and initiative. Students begin to see the connection between what they're learning in school and how those lessons apply to real life.
Sometimes an internship confirms a student's dream career.
Sometimes it helps them discover a new one.
Either way, they leave with experience, mentors, professional relationships, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
At Foundry Academy, we believe education should extend beyond the walls of the classroom. We want our students to graduate not only with knowledge, but with experience, purpose, and the confidence to step into whatever comes next.
To all of our students spending their summer learning, serving, building, exploring, and growing-we are incredibly proud of you. Keep asking questions, keep working hard, and keep becoming the people you were created to be.
And there is still space for the 2026-27 school year! Set up your tour!
