We are heartbroken to share that one of our Foundation Board Members - Emily Poole - passed away unexpectedly Saturday night. She was an integral, vibrant, outgoing and fun part of our board, and she enthusiastically promoted our mission to support McIntosh High School, her alma mater.

During our board meetings, Emily always had sensible and thoughtful comments to share.

Just a little over two weeks ago, we had successfully completed our 2nd year of the Foundation project she led, the Mothers Day Plant Sale. Through her efforts, Emily made sure we'd realize a tidy profit for our scholarships and academic department grants. And, of course, we enjoyed each other's company and friendship while selling plants - rain or shine!

We will truly miss her and we will never forget her.

Y'all -- please stop by McIntosh High School tomorrow (201 Walt Banks Rd, PTC) - Saturday May 9th, 2026 - between 9am and noon and support our annual Mother's Day Plant Sale!

All proceeds go directly to our scholarship and department grant programs.

We will be set up on the sidewalk in front of the school. Cash, venmo, and paypal accepted.

We were proud to present our two $1000 scholarships to deserving McIntosh High School seniors tonight at Senior Honors Night!
The Chick-fil-A 2nd Mile Scholarship was presented by Kevin Watts, owner/operator of the Peachtree City Midtown Chick-fil-A, to Ella Wachter, who's headed to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) to study Biomedical Sciences, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Dr!
The Board of Directors Scholarship was presented by Gary Wood, Board President, to Teagan Trowbridge, who's going to Georgia Southern University to study Biomedical Sciences, with the goal of Medical School!
Photos of our happy recipients and their parents were taken with Kevin and Gary, as well as Scholarship Chair Cele Eifert. Congratulations Ella and Teagan!

**The Chick-Fil-A 2nd Mile scholarship is for $1000!
Criteria: seniors planning to pursue postsecondary

**The MHS Chiefs Foundation Board of Directors Scholarship is for $1000! Criteria: seniors who will pursue a bachelor's degree at a 4-year university, seniors pursuing an associate's degree at a Technical College, or a vocational diploma or certificate at a Trade School. Students going to a service academy are not eligible. Applicant should be a current McIntosh High School student who
has been enrolled at MHS for at least two full years. Applicants are passionate about their career path, they've taken steps towards achieving their goal and they can convey their career vision to

We are proud to announce our two very worthy 2025 MHS Chiefs Foundation $1000 Scholarship winners, who were surprised last night at McIntosh HS Honors Night (Thursday May 8th) by our Board President Gary Wood.
Pictured is our Board of Directors scholarship recipient Stella Gerson (in khaki pants), who will be heading to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in the fall to major in Nursing; and our Chick-Fil-A 2nd Mile scholarship recipient Brianna Lyons (in dress), who will be heading to the University of Alabama Huntsville in the fall and majoring in Atmospheric Science.

Check them out and please support them thru our fundraiser too!

There are three types of plants you can purchase and all of them would be beautiful gifts for Mothers Day! Check them out on the order form.

Pre-orders are strongly recommended and are due by 3pm Friday May 2nd. All pre-orders will be available for pick up on May 10th between 9am-noon. We will have limited availability of plants on May 10th at McIntosh, plus they will be $5 more than pre-order prices, so we strongly encourage pre-orders!

FUNDS RAISED WILL SUPPORT OUR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND OUR ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT GRANT PROGRAM!
