🙌🏻Congratulations to Kendall Romey! Kendall has accepted an invitation into the Trainee program at Renovate Ballet, a professional faith-based dance ministry company. Kendall trained with Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for the past 15 seasons and was a scholarship member of Georgia Dance Theatre for 5 years. Kendall was also a part of the Conservatory program of the Academy.
Driven by a lifelong calling to missions, Kendall is excited to use the power of dance to share the Gospel globally.

🙌🏻Congratulations to Karina Acebo! At just 15 years old, Karina has earned a scholarship to Houston Ballet Academy’s prestigious Professional Division for the 2026–2027 season.

Karina received her classical and contemporary training from Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts where she began her training at the age of 4. Karina was also a Senior scholarship member of Georgia Dance Theatre performing company and a Conservatory student of the Academy.

BRAVO Karina! We are all so very proud of you and we celebrate your continued dance journey with Houston Ballet!

Introducing the new Director/CEO of Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts - Josh Reynolds!

Reynolds began his formal dance training at the age of 12 at Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts, under the direction of Sherri Davis and he quickly moved through the ranks to receive acceptance into the Academy's prestigious performing company, Georgia Dance Theatre.
Reynolds went on to dance professionally with the Atlanta Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Smuin Contemporary Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and the New Orleans Ballet Theatre where he was also a Director.
In the 2026-2027 season, Reynolds became the new director and owner of Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts.
He is thrilled to return to Georgia with his wife Jo-Ann Sundermeier Reynolds and their daughter Ayla and is incredibly excited to shape the next generation of dancers at the Academy and its' performing company.
Reynolds also serves as the president of the board of directors of Georgia Dance Theatre.

🙌🏻Congratulations to GAD/GDT alum Isabelle Stanek!
Isabelle will be continuing her dance education on a dance & merit scholarship from Florida State University!🎓
Isabelle achieved multiple dance program acceptances to reputable in state and out of state universities including NYU Tisch School of the Arts!
In addition to her dance scholarships, Isabelle has received academic scholarships to such esteemed universities as Florida State University, Georgia Tech, Butler University, Auburn University, and more.
Isabelle trained with Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts for 14 years and was also a member of the performing company Georgia Dance Theatre for 5 years!
While at the Academy, she danced several lead roles such as Clara in GDT's Nutcracker Ballet and Peasant Pas from GAD's most recent production of Giselle.
For the 2025-2026 season, Isabelle was selected from Director Sherri Davis' Master Works Choreographic Workshop as Student Choreographer for the Master Works Series 2026 Production.
