Welcome to Array City! 🌃

Over the past few weeks in 3rd grade math, we’ve been learning all about multiplication and solving problems using arrays! Students have been building and drawing arrays, identifying rows and columns, and using them to help solve multiplication problems.
We’ve had so much fun turning our hallway into New York Array City as we remember 9/11!

Check out the video to see some of the amazing work our mathematicians have been doing!

First Grade is reading about fables and folktales!

Today, we read All Stories Are Anansi’s and focused on describing the character Onini, the Great Python. Students had the opportunity to act out a scene from the story and then illustrate it in their journals. 🎭✏️📖

We had so much fun bringing the story to life while practicing our reading comprehension and character description skills! ❤️

PPES families: Come out to Anson High School on Friday night! All ACS elementary students get in free! Meet our school staff on the track at 6:00pm and walk the track with us to represent PPES during Community Night! We encourage you wear your PPES or Bearcat shirts! After the walk, Kindergarten students are invited to participate in the “Meet at the 50” ceremony.

Students should stay with their parents at all times. There will be a designated spot in the bleachers for PPES families, if you would like to sit there to watch the game, but please stay with your child while they are in attendance.

💙🧡 We look forward to seeing everyone Friday night! 💙🩶
