Bishop Fenwick High School was founded in 1959 by the late Richard Cardinal Cushing and was named for the second Bishop of Boston, Benedict Joseph Fenwick, S.J. The school was the first coeducational Catholic high school on the North Shore and was staffed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. After years of bringing comfort, smiles and plenty of love to Fenwick, Mogul has retired to the country up north to take over Squirrel Patrol. We hope his vacation days are filled with long walks, big naps, and unlimited treats.

For the 29th year, our newest Crusaders took on high school prep like pros! From small group learning and setting up their tech to exploring their 59+ acre campus and diving into team-building activities with Project Adventure Project Adventure, the Class of 2030 is officially ready to shine at Fenwick!

A huge shout out to our incredible faculty and our amazing student Conductors for leading the way, sharing their wisdom, and making this week unforgettable.

We can’t wait to welcome the Class of 2030 back to campus for the first day of school!

Dr. Michael R. Volonnino marked his first month as Fenwick’s new president by spending time with the juniors and seniors who will mentor the Class of 2030 during next week’s All Aboard experience. Along the way, they shared some important local advice ... including where to find the best pizza and the ultimate North Shore beef!

Dr. Volonnino begins his leadership at Fenwick with a deep appreciation for Catholic education and a strong commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and community. He looks forward to learning from the people who make Fenwick so special while building upon the school’s proud history and traditions.

“I am honored to join a community so deeply rooted in faith, relationships, and a shared commitment to helping young people grow into thoughtful, confident, and compassionate leaders. I am excited for all that we will accomplish together.”

As Fenwick begins this new chapter, Dr. Volonnino will work closely with students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the school to strengthen our mission and continue providing an Education for Life.
