Stage One: The Drama Club of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School proudly presents:

COME FROM AWAY

Come From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

The show has earned global success with 37 award nominations, 13 of which resulted in wins, most notably Best New Musical at the 2019 Olivier Awards and Outstanding Musical at the 2017 Drama Desk Awards. The show’s global presence resonates across all audiences as an uplifting reminder of humanity’s ability to come together, no matter what the circumstances. (Musical Theatre International)

We are thrilled to announce that Stage One Drama Club's production of SEUSSICAL has been nominated for six METG Musical Theatre Awards! Students and production team members were nominated in the following categories:

Best Costume Design of a Musical: Susie LeCain, Alexis Aguilar-Munoz, and Chloe Demissie

Best Specialty Ensemble: Logan Cerasale-Messina, Myles Fitzgerald, and Jonathan Parsons for their role of The Wickersham Brothers

Best Leading Female Actor in a Musical: Erina Stanton in the role of Gertrude McFuzz

Stage One is thrilled to celebrate two of our incredible students, Erina Stanton ‘26 and Stella LeDuc ‘27, who were invited by the METG to audition as Massachusetts representatives for the Jimmy Awards following their outstanding performances in Seussical! 🌟🎭

A very special shoutout to Stella LeDuc, our fabulous Mayzie La Bird, for being named a Massachusetts Finalist!

Our Spring Workshop is ready to take the stage! Stage One: The Drama Club of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School presents the 2026 Spring Workshop, featuring DOG SEES GOD: CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE BLOCKHEAD*, directed by Emy Sousa Santos '26. The Spring Workshop will be performed on May 8 & 9 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $7.00 for students, $10.00 for adults, and will be sold at the door.

*This production contains mature subject matter and explicit language surrounding su***de, bullying, eating disorders, loss, sexuality, substance abuse, and homophobia. Recommended for audiences ages 14+
