Soaring Eagles Summer Program at SJS

Harrison!! You are amazingly talented! I’m so glad that you enjoyed this part of camp so much! I am so proud of this! On his own over the past few days, Harrison worked hard from a picture to create this! It’s the Predator (no, he has not seen the movie!) and it’s unbelievable! Hard work pays off! 💕

Water week was a blast! The weather wasn’t very kind to us, but we made the best of it! The kids LOVED the blindfold water pass challenge and didn’t do bad! The days we weren’t able to go outside, we did Perler beads! We probably made over 100 things and went through nearly 60,000 beads! There WILL BE a Perler Bead week for camp next year! Keep an eye out for 2024 information! Have a great rest of the summer! Camp was fun and fast this year, and with the help of all of you, we doubled in number almost each week! Thank you for all of the support for our camps, parties, and our program. Without support, it wouldn’t be where it is now. 💕

We are halfway through the week, and the kids are having a blast! Today we learned about aerodynamics with planes. We used two different kinds of paper, thin construction paper and regular construction paper, and a thin plane made of foam with a plastic piece for the nose. We wrote a list of what would work best and why. They had a blast, and the winner was the one without any votes! The regular construction paper flew the farther, followed by the thin construction paper, and the thin foam plane. The kids also gave their best shot at a hangar for the planes using popsicle sticks! We went down and had a build something with legos or foam shapes! Perler Beads have been a HUGE hit this week! If you have any, we can use them! Tomorrow we learn about magnets with Mrs. Hall! 💕

The last few weeks have been wild but we are having a blast! Here are some photos from Drama week with Bethany Vahn and VBS with Mary Hall! These two ladies rocked their weeks! The kids have really loved camp this year which has made the experience even better! We were lucky and have had almost identical rosters each week which has made transition from week to week easy for the kiddos and the parents. Can’t wait to finish out STEM week and head into our final and one of my favorite weeks: Water Week! We get soaked! It’s so much fun!

Week two was amazing! Baking week is always a favorite with the kiddos! Cupcakes, cookies, cake, brownies, and chocolate candy pops…and who doesn’t love eating dessert at 10:00am?!

Week one is in the books! We had a great time crafting and ending with a good ole game of bowling! Can’t wait for Kids in the kitchen next week! 💕

Day 1 of Crafty Kids was a success! The kids had so much fun, and were already diving deep today! 💕

This week was so much fun! Lots of crafts and a lot of laughing…and sweating. 😂 The kiddos each made potted plants, people plants, soap, puzzles, cup games, paper bead bracelets and so much more! We still have about 10 spots open for week 8 which is water week! Spread the word! 💕

We had a blast this week! STEM was amazing! The kids loved doing the mentos and Coke experiment! Next week we have off and we hope you enjoy the 4th! When we come back, it’s time for some Deep Sea Vacation Bible Study!

Stem week has been a blast! Today we had Mrs. Isles give us a lesson on mealworms! Yuck! The kids LOVED it! Tomorrow is Fun Friday! Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes! See you all tomorrow!

Camp has been so fun today! We learned about Rube Goldberg! With the help of Ms. Emily, they each built their own vending machines! 💕 Pizza Party tomorrow and a water fight on Friday…maybe! 😂

First Day of Stem week and it’s already a ton of fun! We’re opening minds this week and tomorrow we’re dealing with meal worms. 😝
