Jerry Gallo served over 34 years as a Special Agent with the US Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, & Fi****ms (ATF). During his tenure with ATF, Jerry spent 15 years on the Special Response Team, and has conducted scores of law enforcement operations, & executive protection missions. Jerry’s highly specialized law enforcement training and experience, led to his position as Lead Fi****ms Instructor in New England, training federal, state and local police.

Basic Fi****ms Safety Course – JUNE 2026 Schedule
Massachusetts requires all individuals applying for a MA LTC or FID card to complete this prerequisite, state approved, course. You will learn to safely handle, load, store, and transport handguns in a classroom setting located in Middleton. Upon successful fulfillment, you will receive your MA State Police Basic Fi****ms Safety Certificate required by local police departments when applying for your MA LTC/FID.

Take your first step to becoming a responsible gun owner in Massachusetts when you fulfill this prerequisite course where you will learn to safely handle, load, store, and transport handguns in a non-live-fire, classroom setting located in Middleton. Upon completion, you will receive your MA State Police Basic Fi****ms Safety Certificate required by local police departments when applying for your MA LTC/FID.
