We Want YOUR Voice on our Wilson Elementary Community Council!
Wilson Elementary's Community Council is a group of parents, teachers, and administrators. By Utah State Law, every public school must have a school community council and must hold elections for its members at the start of every school year.
School Community Council members will work with a group of at least 4 parents and 2 educators to:
- Create Wilson Elementary's School Improvement Plan and Trust Lands Plan. This includes determining how Wilson Elementary will spend its annual Utah State Trust Lands money.
- Discuss and present ideas that will help Wilson Elementary continue to improve each year.
- Share concerns and brainstorm solutions.
The Community Council meets once a month, on the 4th Tuesday at 3:15 PM. Each term is two years.
We are now accepting applications for parents who would like to serve on Wilson's Community Council. Parents can respond to the link in the email sent or send an email to [email protected] with the following information if you are interested in serving: First and Last Name, Phone Number, Email, Your Child or Children that attend Wilson Elementary.
If more parents are interested than positions available, an election will be held where parents will vote. We are looking to fill at least 3 positions on our council.
ALL applications are due by Friday, September 4th at 5:00 PM.
If you have any questions, please email email or call Principal Melissa Jorgensen- [email protected], 801-465-6060
