What a great milestone for Payson! The groundbreaking for the new Payson Fire Station 92 and Firehouse Park was held this afternoon! This is a special occasion as it marks the beginning of a year of construction. We are grateful to the residents of Payson for making this happen. Our emergency responders dedicate so much time to serving our community and this new station will enable them to continue to do that with much shorter response times. We appreciate the support of the mayor, council, and staff for leading these efforts. We are also grateful to Sirq Construction and Babcock Design for their partnership in bringing the park and Fire Station to life. Thank you to all who joined us and we look forward to a ribbon cutting next year!

It was so fun to join the Payson Fire Department today as they provided lunch for all the winners of the elementary school coloring contest for Fire Prevention Week! Students from each Payson elementary were driven to the Payson Fire Station in either a fire engine or ambulance. They had lunch with the department staff and a presentation then were returned to their schools. It was such a great day!

We were excited to visit with Arturo Macias from Nixtamal Foods this morning! They make, package, and ship delicious fresh tortillas from their store in Payson almost everyday. They sell to many local stores including Payson Market and Maceys, as well as, several local restaurants. Their business is growing and we’re so grateful they are a part of our Payson business community!
