New for the 2026-2027 School

Beginning this school year, Idaho public schools are required by Idaho Code § 33-1639 to observe a daily 60-second Moment of Silence at or near the beginning of each school day.

Payette School District will implement this new state requirement in accordance with the law. Additional information, including answers to frequently asked questions, is available on our website:

🏴‍☠️ That’s a wrap on Career Explorers: Forging Our Futures! Day 4 brought a fantastic week of building, creating, troubleshooting, teamwork, and growth to a close. Our learners showed tremendous effort, courage, curiosity, and professionalism as they explored all four career pathways.

A huge thank-you to Mrs. Higley: Culinary, Mrs. Trautman: Construction, Mr. Sather: Automotive, and Mr. Smith: Welding for sharing their expertise and creating unforgettable hands-on experiences for our students.

We are incredibly proud of every Career Explorer who tried something new, learned from mistakes, helped a teammate, and worked hard all week. Way to forge your futures, Pirates! 🔥🔨⚙️🍕

🏴‍☠️ Day 3 of Career Explorers was all hands on deck! Students welded picture frames, began wet-fitting their sprinklers, made pasta, pizza, and ice cream, and troubleshot compression and exhaust issues in real working engines. Our Payette Pirates showed teamwork, patience, and serious problem-solving skills...plus a healthy appetite! 🔥🔧🍕🍝🍦

🏴‍☠️ Day 2 of Career Explorers was packed with action! Students kept building, cooking, welding, and working with engines while sharpening their teamwork and problem-solving skills. Mistakes became learning opportunities, questions led to discoveries, and our Payette Pirates rose to every challenge! 🔥🔨⚙️🍴

🏴‍☠️ The GEAR UP CTE Career Explorers: Forging Our Futures Camp is off to a fantastic start! On Day 1, students jumped into hands-on learning in welding, construction/horticulture, culinary arts, and automotive technology. They practiced teamwork, problem-solving, safety, and professionalism while building confidence and exploring future career possibilities. We are proud of our Payette Pirates for showing up ready to learn, create, and try something new!
